Mr Big-Oasis Diharapkan Serbu Jakarta Agustus 2009

Jakarta - Kabar gembira bagi pecinta Mr. Big dan Oasis. Dua band kenamaan itu diharapkan untuk menyerbu Jakarta pada Agustus mendatang.

Adalah promotor Java Festival Production yang berencana untuk membuat sebuah festival musik pada 7 hingga 9 Agustus. Nama Blur, Boys Like Girls, Evanescence, Oasis juga Mr. Big direncanakan akan turut serta.

“Mereka semua ada dalam wishlist kita. Sekitar 2 mingguan lagi kita bikin rilis untuk festival ini,” ujar Dewi Gontha dari Java Festival Production kepada detikhot via ponselnya, Kamis (11/6/2009).

Acara tersebut rencananya akan mengambil tempat di Pantai Carnaval Ancol. Hingga kini harga tiket juga belum ditentukan. Siap-siap nabung untuk konser akbar tersebut!

Selain beberapa musisi dunia yang sudah disebut sebelumnya, beberapa tambahan lainnya adalah Anouk, Data Rock, Fall Out Boy, Foo Fighters, John Mayer, Keane, Katy Perry, L’Arc en Ciel, Paramore, Placebo, Rivermaya, Tamarama dan The Ting Tings.

Band denmark favorite saya Mew, akan merilis album barunya tanggal 25 Agustus 2009. Album baru itu akan diberi judul “No More Stories Are Told Today I’m Sorry They Washed Away No More Stories the World Is Grey I’m Tired Let’s Wash Away.” Bused !!! Panjang amat yak ^^

Dan di bawah ini ada satu track gratis dari album itu yg Mew berikan lewat Pitchfork Media. Track #2 dari album itu yg berjudul “Introducing Palace Players.” Ciri khan gitar glassy nan twinklenya Mew masih terasa. Lalu basslinenya mengingatkan akan lagu Special dari album ke 2, And The Glass Handed Kites yang bisa bikin badang goyang - goyang. Enjoy!!!

Aaah tak sabar saya pingin dengar keseluruhan albumnya. Dan yang paling saya nanti - nanti dari album baru Mew adalah lagu yang galau dengan music yg lebih panjang mendominasi seperti Comforting Sound di Frengers ataupun Louise Louisa di album ke 2.

Malam ini gw online menunggu donlodan film Jepang Okuribito (Departures) sambil nyetel mp3 album terakhir Kula Shaker - Strangefolk.

Gw udah cukup sering album ini. Yah album comeback Kula Shaker gitu loh. Gak mungkin gw lewatin.

Ada satu track yg menarik bgt, track berjudul Strangefolk.. yg ternyata bukanlah sebuah lagu, hanya seorang wanita bercerita gitu.

Dulu2 denger sii sekelibat gitu aja, tp malam ini gw penasaran… ngomong apa sii tu pencerita ? Biar jelas, gw segera cari liriknya.?

Hari jumat dan sabtu kemarin, gw menghabiskan malam di EX Plaza, Jakarta. Yah soalnya selama 3 hari (sampai hari minggu ini), EX Plaza mengadakan acara Synchronize. Acara yg bertepatan dengan ulang tahun ke-5 EX Plaza tersebut menghadirkan konser Indie Band Yahud Indonesia. Diadakan di City Hallnya, selama 3 hari mulai jam 5 sampai selesai setiap harinya. Gratis pula !!! Line-upnya cihui sekali deh.

Synchronize Day #1 Friday the 13
Gw datang bersama Wahyu n adeknya Dicky. Dari depok gw samperin mereka ke rumahnya di daerah Plumpang. Saat itu jam pulang kerja. BUSET dah! Muacet banget. Mana jalanan di daerah situ lagi dioperasi dan kriting2. Oh mobilku, maafkan daku membawamu melewati jalanan nan bolong2 ancur itu. Kita berangkat dari rumah Wahyu di Plumpang jam 1/2 8an. Dan sampe di EX kira2 jam 1/2 9 - jam 9an (biasalah kelamaannya gara2 macet karena faktor jalanan ancur di plumpang sekitarnya, sampe kira2 depo pertamina itu). Gw dah was was bgt, takut kalo Efek Rumah Kaca (ERK) udah maen. Yah soalnya band inilah alasan gw memutuskan datang di hari pertama Syn…

Saat sampe di EX itu kebetulan bertepatan dengan Mocca tampil. Udah kedengeran sejak di parkiran. “Mudah2an ERK belom maen. Mudah2an ERK belom maen,” harap gw saat itu. Untunglah, pas tanya temen yg kebetulan juga nonton, ERK ternyata belom maen. Rupanya mereka jd band pamungkas. Yippie!

Karena gak begitu tertarik liat Mocca, kita mojok aja di salah satu sudut sambil ngobrol2 dengan teman2 laennya. Setelah Mocca selesai, giliran Zeke and The Popo yg tampil. Hmm, kayaknya seru neh. Gw, Wahyu n Dicky memutuskan cari spot yg enak buat nonton. Ternyata eh ternyata, nonton Zeke and The Popo itu ngebosenin. Yah itu buat gw sih. Wahyu juga berpikiran gitu dink. Jadilah nonton ZATP tanpa ada kesan yg gimana2.

Akhirnya setelah kebosanan denger n liat ZATP, tampilah Efek Rumah Kaca. Dan ternyata. Dashyat !!! Mereka cuma bertiga. Tp saat live, soundnya terasa penuh. Cholil pun nyanyinya tanpa out of tune out of control, padahal sedang memetik gitar yg cukup rumit. Klo gw dah buyar deh salah satu (entah gitarannya entah nyanyinya). Pengaruh Thom Yorke terasa sekali pada gayanya. Tp it’s ok. Namanya juga influence. Mantab bgt neh band. Salut !!! Gw yg baru sekali ini nonton mereka langsung, jd kepengen lagi nonton. Kayaknya kemaren berasa kurang.. Asik bgt dah pokoknya. Oh iya, di hari pertama ini, ERK adalah satu-satunya band yg mendapat teriakan encore. Dan lagu untuk sesi encore itu adalah Desember. Lagu bagus yg sukses bikin penonton berkaraoke masal.

Dan Aaaku… selalu suka… sehabis… hujan di bulan desember…

Michael Heart is an unsigned singer/songwriter based in Los Angeles. He has just released his Pop/Rock debut CD titled “Unsolicited Material”, in March 2008.

Lalu, sebelum tahun 2008 ini berakhir.. ada satu album yg cukup menyita telinga gw 2-3 hari belakangan ini. Debut album dari Rico Blanco berjudul Your Universe. Damn! This Album is Good! Rico Blanco adalah ex- keyboardis/gitaris/ n vocalis Rivermaya yg juga otak dari album2 Rivermaya termasuk yg favorite gw You’ll Be Safe Here. Dia juga salah satu dari original member band itu (yg kebetulan sudah banyak gonta ganti personel).

Dan dengan debutnya ini, Rico Blanco membuktikan kehandalannya menciptakan lagu2 asik. Entah gimana nasib Rivermaya selanjutnya. Gw suka n tau band ini gara2 album You’ll Be Safe Here yg sebagian besar lagunya tuh di composed ama mr. Blanco.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaak! Buat kamu yg ngefan SO7 (seperti gw ^^). Album terbaru mereka “Menentukan Arah” udah bisa dibeli Kaset/CDnya di toko2 kaset kesayangan kamu. Beli yg ori donk. Kan ngefan kekekekeke

SO7 tu salah satu band yg bikin gw bermimpi “ngeband akan jd pilihan profesi saat lulus sma nanti.” Waktu itu gw kelas 3 SMA, n bentar lagi dah lulus. Tp yah sayangnya, sampai album terbaru SO7 ini nongol, mimpi itu tak terwujud. Hahahaha.. akhirnya hanya bisa jd pendengar aja deh.

O.K. Back to topik. Lagu2 di album ini bener2 lagu2 yg simple. Dibuka oleh singel “happy sad song” yg sudah tak asing lagi “Betapa.” Tak ada itu fill2 instrumen yg “njelimet.” Bener2 nyaman dengernya. It’s a SO7’s POP. Menurut gw ini album mereka yg tersimple namun fresh. Bikin gw gatel buat genjrang-genjreng gitar n ikut bersenandung. Heheheheh

Oh iya, kali ini, dalam booklet cover albumnya tidak dicantumkan lirik dari masing2 lagu. Sebagai gantinya adalah cerita proses recording lagu2 tersebut. Dan menurut gw itu menarik. Keliatannya seru euy. Dan emang seru, soalnya dulu sempet ngalamin juga waktu bikin2 demo sama band gw. Lalu dengan tidak adanya lirik, kita dituntut untuk benar2 menyimak lagunya. Nice!

Curently, “Betapa; Yang Terlewatkan; Ibu Linda (Drum pas Reff, asik bgt!!!!); Mudah Saja; & Alasanku” are my favorite songs.

Nonton gak yah… kakak gw n her family balik ke KL tgl 24 July besok. So ada tempat tuk menginap neh. Kemarin saya juga melewatkan nonton MONO di KL karena kakak saya yg di KL itu sekeluarga pada liburan pulang ke Indonesia
